Accommodation: Accommodation on this tour is sleeping twinshare accommodation in beds.

Transport: Transport while on tour is in apurpose built Mitsubishi 4WD.

Hike Difficulty: Basic fitness is required for this tour return hikes of  6 to 8 kilometres.

Extra Costs: Park entry fee $25.00 plus $10.00 fuel levy 1.5% admin fee

Tour Description:

Day 1: Your outback experience starts at 6.30am as we depart Alice

Springs and travel through the Waterhouse Ranges to go to the

Outback Camel Farm where you can ride a camel (own expense).

We journey on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) taking in the  views of the Hugh

and Finke River Systems, Mt Connor and desert scenery along the way.

After lunch we head off to explore the amazing Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and

we take a hike to the Valley of the Winds. Late afternoon we return to

our campsite at Uluru for a glass of Australian sparkling wine while we

watch the changing colours of the rock as the sun sets. After a hearty

dinner we curl up and watch the millions of stars in the outback night sky.

Day 2: An early start as we rise to watch one of the highlights of the trip,

the Uluru sunrise after which you can enjoy a base walk of Ayers Rock

exploring the strange rock formations and the aboriginal art sites. Just

before lunch we visit the Cultural Centre and then we depart for Kings

Canyon where we spend the night after a campfire oven dinner.

Day 3: We rise early to explore the impressive formations of Kings

Canyon and the Amphitheatre as well as the Garden of Eden and the

awesome North and South Walls of Kings Canyon. After lunch we head

back to Alice Springs arriving early evening.

Things you should bring:

Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat & sunscreen, water bottle, towel,

pillow, toiletries, torch, warm clothing in winter months, insect repellent,

camera & film. Sleeping bag (can be hired for $15.00)

Included:

Experienced tour guide, meals as indicated, camping fees & equipment,

twin share accommodation (including proper beds, linen, pillows, towels

and fans. Meals are as indicated, wine with evening meal, accommodation

transfers in Alice Springs.
